Terms & Conditions

PROGRAMME: RockSeries is an independent educational programme and digital learning platform. It provides bilingual (Afrikaans & English) CAPS-aligned learning resources, lessons, activities, assessments, progress tracking and academic progress reports for supported grade levels. RockSeries is not a public or independent school, and this application is not an application for school enrolment or government home-education registration.

PARENT / GUARDIAN RESPONSIBILITY: If I choose home education for my child, I remain responsible for directing and supervising the home-education programme and for meeting the legal requirements that apply to my child, including provincial registration where applicable, suitable learning resources, monitoring progress and required assessment arrangements. I confirm that all information provided in this application is true and correct.

PRIVACY: RockSeries collects and stores personal information for programme administration, educational support, billing and account support. Information may be shared with a Learning Support Centre or tutor only where the parent has authorised that access, or where disclosure is otherwise required by law.

LEARNING SUPPORT: I may independently appoint a tutor or Learning Support Centre to provide supervision, tutorial assistance or other educational support. Any such provider acts as a support provider selected by me and does not become the learner's school merely because it has authorised access to RockSeries. I remain responsible for ensuring that my learning arrangement complies with applicable law.

LEARNING SUPPORT CENTRES: Unless expressly stated otherwise, Learning Support Centres are independent service providers and are not owned, managed or operated by RockSeries. Each provider remains responsible for its own premises, staffing, supervision, services and legal compliance.

PROGRESS DATA: I consent to my child's learning and assessment data being captured on the RockSeries platform. Where I nominate a Learning Support Centre or tutor, I may authorise RockSeries to make relevant progress information available to that provider for learning-support purposes.

REPORTING: RockSeries Academic Progress Reports are platform-generated records of work and assessments completed on RockSeries. They are not school enrolment certificates, government home-education registration certificates, statutory assessor reports, promotion certificates or National Senior Certificate results.

COMMUNICATION: I agree to receive communication from RockSeries regarding my child's account, platform updates, and important notices via email and/or WhatsApp.

FIXED TERM: The RockSeries subscription is offered as a 12-month fixed-term agreement, subject to the consumer's rights under the Consumer Protection Act and other applicable law.

PAYMENT: Monthly fee is R500 per child. Payment via debit order is preferred. If paying by EFT, payment must reflect in the RockSeries account by the 1st of each month. Late or missing payment will result in account suspension. No cash to agents — pay only to the official bank account.

DEBIT ORDER: If a debit order is returned unpaid, you will be notified and given the opportunity to make alternative arrangements. Repeated returns may result in account suspension.

CANCELLATION: A consumer may cancel a fixed-term subscription by giving RockSeries at least 20 business days' notice in writing or another recordable form. Amounts owing up to the effective cancellation date remain payable. Where permitted by the Consumer Protection Act, RockSeries may charge a reasonable cancellation penalty having regard to the circumstances of the agreement. Any renewal or continuation after the fixed term will be handled in accordance with applicable consumer law.

Welcome to the RockSeries family! Established in 2004, RockSeries has been South Africa's trusted bilingual online learning platform for nearly two decades. We serve learners from Grade RR all the way through to N6 Trade Level, offering fully bilingual (Afrikaans & English) content aligned to the South African CAPS curriculum.

💻 Getting Started: Platform & Login ▼

Once your account is activated (within 1–2 business days of payment), you will receive your login credentials by email.

  • Visit rockseries.co.za and click Login
  • Use the latest version of Chrome, Edge, or Brave for best results
  • Works on PCs, laptops, tablets, and smartphones
  • Each child needs their own profile — set this up after first login
  • Your home screen shows all subjects available for your child's grade
📅 What Does a Typical Week Look Like? ▼

RockSeries is self-paced, so you set the rhythm that works for your family. Here is a suggested structure:

  • Monday–Wednesday: Core lessons (Maths, Language, Science)
  • Thursday: Life Orientation, Arts, or catch-up
  • Friday: Quizzes, games, and review
  • Each lesson takes approximately 30–45 minutes
  • Quizzes and activities are marked automatically — results save to your academic progress record

There is no strict timetable requirement — log in whenever suits your family.

Every quiz, activity, and lesson completed is tracked and saved automatically.

  • View your child's results under My Results in the learner menu
  • The Academic Progress Report summarises progress across subjects per term
  • Parents can view the academic progress report at any time
  • Authorised tutors or Learning Support Centre facilitators (if applicable) can access relevant results with your permission
  • A CAPS-aligned diagnostic tool is available to identify areas needing attention
🧑‍💻 Device & Internet Requirements ▼
  • Any device with a modern browser — Chrome, Edge, or Brave recommended
  • Minimum screen: 5-inch smartphone upwards (larger is better for younger learners)
  • Stable internet connection required (data usage is moderate — lessons are optimised)
  • No app download needed — everything runs in the browser
  • Audio lessons require speakers or headphones (bilingual audio is built in)

  • Ensure your child logs in regularly and completes lessons
  • Monitor results via the parent view on the platform
  • Keep your contact details up to date
  • Notify us of any changes to your child's grade or learning needs
  • Ensure your payment/debit order is up to date to avoid account suspension
  • Communicate any concerns promptly — we are here to help

Fees are payable monthly via debit order. Your account is activated after the first successful payment.

  • RockSeries Programme: R500 per learner per month
  • Learning Support: Any separate fee charged by an independent tutor or Learning Support Centre is arranged directly with that provider unless RockSeries states otherwise in writing.
